We were very proud to take home gold at the Onboard Hospitality Awards this year, with our onboard retail teams being honoured with two prestigious accolades.

Out of six nominations, we secured wins in the categories of Best Menu or Meal and Catering Innovation of the Year – yet again highlighting our commitment to excellence and innovation in onboard retail.

Our "Schnitzelkombi" won the award for Best Menu or Meal. This exceptional offering features a delicious chicken schnitzel served with potatoes, accompanied by Almdudler or beer. It is a worthy homage to Viennese cuisine, crafted to perfection by the renowned brand Henry in collaboration with the top-tier caterer DO&CO. This meal has been a favourite among passengers, providing a taste of Austria at 30,000 feet.

Catering Innovation of the Year: Sprungli Chocolate Plane by SWISS International Airlines

The "Sprungli Chocolate Plane" earned the title of Catering Innovation of the Year. This unique product features the finest Swiss chocolate, expertly crafted in the shape of an airplane, and was developed through an exclusive collaboration with the renowned chocolatier Sprungli. This standout addition to SWISS’s inflight offerings has delighted passengers, combining the luxury of Swiss chocolate with the charm of aviation-themed treats.

These accolades reinforce our position as a leader in onboard retail, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and groundbreaking innovations.

“This achievement underscores our commitment to excellence and innovation in providing exceptional inflight experiences for passengers around the globe.  We extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners at Austrian Airlines and SWISS for their unwavering support and collaboration.
